Award Description:
This award recognises businesses taking practical, measurable action to improve environmental performance and reduce environmental impact. It celebrates organisations that are making meaningful changes in areas such as energy, emissions, waste, water, biodiversity, circularity, resource efficiency, sustainable operations, supply chain practices or environmental innovation.
This category is focused on environmental sustainability. Applicants do not need to be perfect or have every environmental issue solved, but they should be able to show clear action, progress and evidence of impact.

What the Judges Will Look For:
- A clear environmental strategy, set of priorities or improvement plan.
- Practical actions taken to reduce environmental impact or improve environmental performance.
- Measurable results, such as reductions in energy use, emissions, waste, water use, materials, transport impact or other relevant indicators.
- Innovation, continuous improvement or new ways of working.
- Governance, accountability, reporting or stakeholder engagement.
- Evidence that the approach is embedded, proportionate to the size of the organisation, and capable of creating ongoing value.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, nominees must:
· Be based in the Mid-West Region (with at least 12 months of trading in the region)
· Qualify as either a Micro, SME, or Large (including MNCs) type business.
