The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards will award The Best Retail or Hospitality ward to an organisation, trading for more than 1 year in the Mid- West Region, that is striving to create world class products and services, setting the highest benchmarks and optimising opportunities in their marketplace.
Judges will be looking at:
Sustainability & Development: This winning business demonstrates that it took significant measures to ensure sustainability of their business in their sector (or location) and continued to develop their business offering.
Innovation & Adaptability: The winning business demonstrates how has the company embraced innovation and adapted their business to the challenges this year (could be in terms of product, service, strategy, channels to customers for example) to strengthen its competitiveness.
Customer Satisfaction: One of the most defining aspects of both the hospitality and retail sectors is that they focus on customer satisfaction. The winning business must demonstrate going the extra mile in delivering a great customer experience that matches their target market and customer demographic.
Contribution to the Region: The winning business will have had a positive impact to the region in areas such as job retention, job creation, active collaboration and support with other businesses and organisations to help attract new business to the region and have a culture that embraces corporate giving in their community.

To be eligible for the Best Retail or Hospitality Business Award, nominees must have been in operation for a minimum of 12 months, based in the Limerick City Region (Mid-west region). This category is open to all types of retailers including those trading online. (A retail business is a type of business in which merchandise is sold primarily to ultimate consumers. Businesses who sell online or who have physical stores are eligible.). The hospitality industry applies to any company that is focused on customer satisfaction and meeting leisurely needs rather than basic ones.
